Event: Older Youth in Foster Care: a decade of progress — current conditons. A panel of speakers from the child welfare fields and alumni from foster care will address the subtopics of: Employment, Housing, Financial Security, Education, Mentoring and Permanency (Jimmy Wayne will be speaking on the Youth & Alumni perspective).

Target Audience: Senate Caucus on Foster Youth members and staff, other Congressional Members and staff, and the child welfare / advocacy community

Note: This event is not open to the public, but http://projectmmh.org/ will have many pictures and stories about the event next week

Date: Wednesday, May 12, 2010
Times: 3:30 to 5:00: Briefing
5:00 to 6:00: Reception hosted by the Annie E. Casey Foundation featuring a short performance by country music star Jimmy Wayne, an alumni of foster care and founder of the Meet Me Halfway campaign
